Imagine a food truck infused with green ideas, helping to mend the more vulnerable portions of our communities while also providing nourishing, highly acclaimed meal options in a cooperative and sustainable fashion; this is an intellectual concept manifested into a real vision where the demands of people and money can come together in the name of social enterprise – a valuable investment for the community that contributes beyond the financial bottom-line, while catering the most authentic, and delicious, Mexican dishes in B.C.
Mending Our Communities with Earth Culture
Currently, we are promoting our paying forward program to local community partners, While also working with local farmers, in a four-part package geared towards sustainable development.
Sharing Knowledge and Wealth: We are hiring locally with a focus on marginalized community members to enhance access to education in the economic, environmental, investment-oriented, and community-driven aspects of the enterprise – allowing very real opportunities to grow personally and professionally.
Ecologically-Friendly: We are using primarily local and fair-trade farmers’ goods to prepare our delicious products and to bring together people and communities – mutually supporting one another whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and authenticity.
Community Partnership: We intend to foster growth so members of our venture will go on to create partnerships within the company expansions, giving back to more than a single community as the enterprise grows. This also contributes to economic growth from a previously untapped sector.
Promoting Development and Responsibility of the Self and Community: We are working to eradicate what many have called the “poverty of the mind”. Each individual will help to support the whole through the conscious realization that working together, even from afar, in a sustainable fashion can truly help to facilitate change for the better – nourishing the mind, as well as the body. Our goal is to inspire collective consciousness with the importance and benefits of eating locally produced food while promoting UN endorsed Mother Earth Natural Rights – then and only then, will we truly mend our community spirit.
